The Rufus Project Redeeming Features Cast: Scott Pilgrim vs the World (2010)

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Scott Pilgrim vs the World from 2010.  Is it a love letter to all things geeky or is it more like hate mail?

Does the box office bomb match the quality?  Is Michael Cera believable as a bad ass?  How many familiar faces are there?  Is it possible to take a breath watching this movie?  Is this movie redeemable?

Listen on and find out!

Are there any bearable male characters in the movie?  Is there a single plot?  Who is the main character?  Was this anything more than a cheap cash in on Saturday Night Fever?  Do that couple ever escape the fire escape?  Is this movie redeemable?

The Rufus Project Redeeming Features Cast: Josie and the Pussycats (2001)

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Josie and the Pussycats from 2001.  Is it the legendary lost episode of The Rufus Project or is Kristian just having a case of deja vu?

Is there any point to all the product placement?  Does the movie have more than one joke?  Can Alan Cumming not look at the camera?  How many in jokes can they make?  Are any of the jokes not predictable?  Is this movie redeemable?

The Rufus Project Redeeming Features Cast: Battlefield Earth (2000)

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Battlefield Earth from 2000.  Is it a case of an actor battling to break out of his stereotype, or is it a battle just to watch the movie?

Does John Travolta really believe in the story that much?  Does Johnny’s hair need its own credit?  Is there meant to be a love interest?  Should the alien really give the human all the knowledge he needs to escape?  Is this movie redeemable?

The Rufus Project Redeeming Features Extended Cast: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) in this extra extended episode for the extended version of the movie.  Is it a fresh take on these iconic characters, or should we stick with the comic books?

Does Ben Affleck make a better Batman that Daredevil?  Can Henry Cavill make Superman interesting?  Does Lois Lane have any purpose beyond being a damsel?  Is the Justice League relevant?  Does Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman add anything to this?  Is this movie redeemable?

A YouTube Update (finally)

Greetings all.

Yep, in a super rare non-podcast update (and an even rarer YouTube update) we are thrilled to announce a new ongoing series over on the Rufus Project YouTube channel.

Please head on over and enjoy the “One Credit Challenge”.  Simply put we are playing arcade games and seeing how well we can do on just one credit.

We’ll have regular new episodes, special replay events and even guest players.  Hopefully we can even manage some live events in the near future.  Let us know if there are any games you would like to see and we will try to include them.

Check out the current playlist down below, or head directly to The Rufus Project YouTube channel for even more random stuff.

The Rufus Project Redeeming Features Cast: Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (1978)

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band from 1978.  Is it a great tribute to a classic Beatles album, or should we get the bug spray?

Can you do a Sgt Pepper’s movie without the Beatles?  Did the Beatles even like this?  Does Frampton come alive?  Does anyone other that George Burns have dialogue?  Is this movie redeemable?

Listen on and find out!

Kristian and Trevor take on the challenge of redeeming Resident Evil: Apocalypse from 2004.  Is it an improvement on the non redeemed original or ?

Do you need to have seen the first movie?  Why are all the men in full combat gear when the women are showing quite a bit of skin?  How come the zombies can’t be filmed normally?  Is this movie redeemable?

Kristian and Trevor completely forget about the third birthday of the podcast and take on the challenge of redeeming Flash Gordon from 1980, with the help of Suzie Holland (aka Violet Von Dutch), co host of the What The History Podcast and requester of this movie.  Is it a great take on an action comic or is it a flash in the pan?

Why does Flash have his name on his shirt?  Can Brian Blessed be any more British?  Is there anyone Aura won’t sleep with?  Is this movie redeemable?
